Nigerian youngster, Hafiz Umar Ibrahim is at the verge of becoming a Chelsea player following a successful trial with the London Giants, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

According reports, the transfer of Umar will be a two-way contract which could see him play for Strasbourg of France on loan.

The Kano-born striker impressed during his trial with the Blues after turning down an opportunity to sign for Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt.

Soccer net.com reports that the clincher for the 18-year-old at the trials, was scoring a hattrick on the presence of co-owner Todd Boehly necessitating a transfer negotiation with Ojodu academy for an agreed fee of 1.5 million pounds.

Further details will be made on the deal as there are expects of the talks that need to be finalized.
