Ogunbote gives assurance ahead CAF Confed Cup game in Ethiopia

Rangers International head coach Gbenga Ogunbote is confident that the AITEO Cup champions will progress at the expense of their Ethiopian opponents Defence Force when both teams meet in Tuesday’s second leg of the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Flying Antelopes won the first meeting 2-0 in Enugu a week ago through Godwin Aguda’s goals, both from the spot, but Ogunbote has now assured that they would give an arm and a leg to ensure they reach the next round despite “some challenges in (playing) personnel registration for the competition.”

“With the game I saw them play in Enugu, I really don’t see us ending our campaign in Addis Ababa. Yes, they pass the ball well and we also have our strong points which will take us above them when we play at their backyard.

“We may have some challenges in personnel registration for the competition but those we have are capable of holding their heads high when the chips are down,” Ogunbote told the club’s media on the eve of the match.
