Strand, 33, spent the previous season at Bechem United where he helped them to a sixth placed-finish.

The Swedish was initially billed to sign a permanent deal with the club before the start of the season but that move stalled over contractual disagreement.

He has now signed the dotted lines and tasked with transforming the fortunes of the club.

“We are happy to announce that Tom Strand has been appointed the new coach of Medeama,” club president Moses Armah told the club’s official website.
