Odion Ighalo scores fastest hattrick in Saudi League

Nigeria's Odion Jude Ighalo was too much to handle as Al Wehda's win over Damac FC in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com report.

Odion Ighalo secured a Hat-trick in 35 minutes to help Al Wehda beat 10-man Damac FC 4-2 at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium.

It's the fastest hat-trick on record in the Saudi League.

His first goal came in the 17th minute following a thunderous shot to give his side the lead, but Assan Ceesay equalled score for Damak.

Ighalo brought back the reds to the lead before the end of the first half from the penalty spot after Nour Al-Rashidi committed a foul which led to his sending-off.

The former Manchester United man got his third goal in the 52nd minute before Craig Goodwin increased the lead in the 62nd minute for the home side.

Sultan Faqihi pulled one back for Damac but that it was a little too late as Al Wehad emerge victorious.

With the hattrick, Ighalo now has four goals in two matches.
