The Match Day 5 Fixtures of the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL Premiership served off in different centres with mouthwatering matches played in both group A and B.

Reigning champions, Bayelsa Queens got an emphatic victory over Osun Babes at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa on Wednesday.

Two goals each in both halves by Flourish Sabastine, Etim Edidiong, Mwaka Mupeta, and Zainab Olopade sunk Osun Babes to a four nil mauling.

The Prosperity Girls wasted no time in stamping  their authority on the game as Sabastine got the first goal as early as the fourth minute.

Edidiong made it two in quick succession in the 9th minute, but after that the goals went dry till the end of the first phase of the encounter.

Osun  Babes were able to keep the CAF Women's Champions League bronze winners at bay for a long time in the second half, but in the 80th minute, Mupeta made it three before Olopade completed the goals scored in four minutes later.

Delta Queens got a needed win after a cagey first half against Naija Ratels in the Delta Derby in Asaba.

Chinaza Agoh's 55th minute and Taiwo Afolabi's 80th minute goals earned the group A leaders the win to remain top with 12 points ahead of Bayelsa Queens with 10 points..

Rivers Angles couldn't break strugglers Heartland Queens away from home as they were held by a goalless draw at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

It is Heartland's second draw and points after playing a draw against defending champions, Bayelsa Queens.

In group B, group leaders, Edo Queens got their fourth consecutive wins as they got the better of Ibom Angels at their home to win by two goals to nil.

Rebecca Ajimuda's double in the 30th and 39th minutes gave Edo Queens the maximum points against Ibom Angels.

Abia Angel's FC got a slim victory over Adamawa Queens with a one nil win courtesy of Nkechi Agams' penalty in the 86th minute.

Nasarawa Amazons were left stunned at the Aper Aku Stadium Makurdi after Confluence Queens defeated them by three goals to two.
