NWFL Super Six to hold from June 9

The 2023 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership management has announced that the league Super Six tournament will now hold from June 9 to 16, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The announcement was made by the league body via its tweeter handle on Tuesday where it revealed that the new date has been confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation.

The Super 6 was initially scheduled for May 5 to 12, 2023, but was postponed due to the upcoming WAFU-B U20 Women's Cup in Ghana.

The six participating teams in the tournament are defending champions, Bayelsa Queens, 2021 champions, Rivers Angels and regular league group A leaders, Delta Queens.

Others are Edo Queens who topped group B, Confluence Queens and last slot capturers, Robo Queens.

The winner of the tournament will represent Nigeria in WAFU-B Zonal qualifiers for CAF Women's Champions League.
