NWFL Super Six: Heartland Queens departs Owerri for Yenagoa

Heartland Queens football club of Owerri has departed the capital city of Imo state enroute to Yenagoa for the prestigious elite tournament, the NWFL Super Six scheduled kick off at the Samson Siasia Stadium Yenagoa, Bayelsa state.

The Owerri Landladies will be slogging it out with five other elite teams such as group mates Nasarawa Amazons, Confluence Queens, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The winner will be crowned champions and will be the sole representative of the nation at the continental stage.

Heartland Queens will contest the 10-day Super Six diadem in Yenagoa, Bayelsa state with former champions, Rivers Angels Bayelsa Queens Nasarawa Amazons and regulars, Confluence Queens and Edo Queens and the winners will represent Nigeria at the CAF Women's Champions League.
