Matchday Two of the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) produced tightly contested fixtures across multiple centres on Wednesday, with home teams securing crucial victories and several matches ending in stalemates, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

In Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti Queens salvaged a late point in a 1–1 draw against Adamawa Queens. Mary Sunday gave the visitors the lead in the 55th minute, before a stoppage-time own goal by Favour Godwin ensured the hosts avoided defeat.

Delta Queens and Sunshine Queens played out a goalless draw in Asaba, while Remo Stars Ladies earned a 1–0 victory over Abia Angels in Ikenne courtesy of Aisha Animashaun’s 25th-minute strike.

Edo Queens continued their strong start to the season in Benin, defeating Heartland Queens 1–0 through Atume Doosuur’s early goal. In Uyo, Ibom Angels secured a late 1–0 win against Pacesetters Queens, with Helen Daniel netting in the 87th minute.

Osun Babes also claimed a late victory in Ile-Ogbo, beating Ahudiyannem Queens 1–0 after Nofisat Tijani converted an 87th-minute penalty.

In Lagos, Dannaz Ladies were held to a 0–0 draw by Nasarawa Amazons, while Rivers Angels edged Naija Ratels 1–0 in Port Harcourt thanks to Sharon Onwere’s 55th-minute finish.

The biggest win of the round came in Lagos, where Robo Queens produced an emphatic 4–0 triumph over Confluence Queens. Favour Nkwocha opened the scoring in the 27th minute, Tosin Rafiu doubled the lead in the 40th, and Kemi Adegbuyi added a brace early in the second half.

Matchday Three fixtures will continue across all centres next week.
