Edo Queens handed Rivers Angels a big defeat in the Nigeria Women Football League match day 10 encounter at Benin on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Goodness Osigwe's hattrick propelled the Edo Ladies to a 4-1 win over the former champions at the  Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin.

Osigwe opened score on 7 minute before doubling the lead a minute later. Peace Effiong pulled one back for the visitors to end the first half 2-1.

Osigwe restored the 2-goal lead on 56 minute from the spot to complete her hattrick before Amarachukwu Onuorah put the icing ok the cake 6 minutes before the end of the game.

The win moves Edo Queens to third with 16 points, 3 points adrift Bayelsa Queens and 2 points adrift Rivers Angels are first and second respectively.
