Edo Queens are back to the top of the group B of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Women's Football League NWFL Premiership after beating Robo Queens on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Godwin Aduku side ended the 4-match unbeaten run of the Lagos Landladies after a two nil win at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

A goal in each half of the encounter secured a significant win for the Edo giants.

Yetunde Fajobi scored first in the 22nd minute to put the Hosts in the lead while Suliat Abideen consolidated victory in the 63rd minute of the game.

The win returns Edo Queens to the zenith of the league group B standings after ten matches with a point ahead of second place Confluence Queens.

In group A, leaders Delta Queens were held to a goalless draw by another Delta club, Royal Queens at the Warri Township Stadium.

Heartland Queens forced the title holders, Bayelsa Queens to a barren draw for the second time this season after securing same secure in Yenagoa in December 2023.
