NWFL: Edo Queens qualify for Super Six after Ibom Angels mauling

Edo Queens put Ibom Angels to the squad in the match day 13 fixture of the Nigeria Women's Football League, NWFL Premiership on Wednesday to ensure super six qualification, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Moses Aduku's girls put four pass the relegation-bound side at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, scoring all goals in the first 45 minutes of the game.

Ibom Angels started early with the first free-kick of the game, but the effort went straight to the arms of Nkiruka Obidinma.

It didn't take time before the Host got the lead courtesy of Eunice Godwin in the 2nd minute.

In the 16 minute, Yemisi Samuel found Suliat Abideen in the box, the latter shoot at goal, but the upright denied her, but Esther Friday pushed the rebound for the score line became 2-0.

After several attempt at goal, Suliat Abideen increased the lead for the Host with a beautiful solo run in the 29th minute.

Five minutes later, Yetunde Fajobi recorded her name on the scorers' sheet with a fine goal from the centre of the 18-yard box to give Edo Queens a comfortable lead in the first half.

The score line remained 4-0 till the end of the second 45 minutes, a win that ensured Edo Queens go top of the group B standings of the league and qualify for the Super Six.
