Enugu Rangers supremo Paul Uzor has dismissed reports linking Nigeria U23 shot-stopper Emmanuel Daniel with a transfer to South African club Mamelodi Sundowns before the close of the transfer window on January 31.

It has been claimed that Daniel will travel to join The Brazilians this weekend but the General Manager of Nigeria champions, Rangers, has revealed that they have not been officially contacted over a transfer.

“Mamelodi Sundowns have not discussed any transfer with us, ” Paul Uzor briefly told our team.

The Media Officer of the Flying Antelopes, Foster Chime is on the same page as Paul Uzor, as he revealed that the netminder is still on the books of the club and Mamelodi Sundowns have not officially approached the decision makers.

“A lot of clubs have shown interest in Emmanuel Daniel, one Israeli club came, Maccabi Haifa. For now, he is still our player, ” Chime said to allnigeriasoccer.com.

Daniel, 23, is understood to be in Enugu but did not train with the rest of his teammates at Rangers on Tuesday.
