Two early goals from Chijioke Mbaoma and a second half free kick from Ikenna Cooper earn Edith Agoye's boys their second defeat of the tournament.

The first goal of the game came as early as the third minute as Chijioke Mbaoma capitalised on a defensive slip to put the Aba Giants in front.

The striker soon added another one to make it 2-0 after a through ball from Kene Awazie which Mbaoma wasted no time to hit pass the goalkeeper in the 8th minute.

Enyimba pushed for the third as Asuquo's cross from the right found Awazie on the left, but his strike went to  the side-netting in the 20th minute.

The half ended with Mbaoma's brace giving the 8-time champions of the league the comfortable lead.

In the second half, Enyimba continued  their dominance and added one more as Ikenna Cooper increased the lead to 3-0 from a free kick.

Cooper had the chance to score a brace after Imo Obot's powerful free kick was spilled, but he failed to make the most of the ball in the 73rd minute.

An opportunity to score for Chibuike Nwaiwu after a rebound fell to him, but he played it straight to the goalkeeper as the score remained 3-0 till the end.

With the win, Enyimba go back top on goals difference with 8 points same as Rivers United and secure continental ticket for next season.

They play Rivers United in the last match of the Super Six as they seek to win the trophy they last won in the last Super Six tournament played in 2019.
