Two second-half goals from Okon Aniekeme and Ndifreke Effiong sealed maximum points for the Pride of Rivers at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.

A first-half goal for Rivers was denied by goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal who saved an initial spot kick on 14 minutes before saving another after the centre referee ordered it to be retaken as the half ended goalless.

Aniekeme Okon broke the deadlock after 6 minutes played in the second half before 3SC were reduced to 10 players following Alex Aghahowa's matching orders 8 minutes later.
