NPFL: Rivers, Kwara share spoils in Ilorin

Rivers United got a point on the road in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 29 reschedule encounter against Kwara United on Thursday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Harmony Boys and Pride of Rivers had to settle for the spoils as the Kwara side could not utilise their chances in the tie played at the Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin.

It was a first half dominated by the hosts with Samson Paul coming close three times and Issa Gata's attempt hitting the woodwork keeping the score same at halftime.

In the second half, it was the turn of Godwin Oshagbemi and Emmanuel Ogbole of Kwara United to get a goal, but missed chances and the woodwork on a couple of occasions remained the undoing of Kwara United.

After 90 minutes and 12 minutes of added time, the team from Rivers United survived to get a point that takes them to 11th position with 41 points same as Sporting Lagos and Kwara United who are 12th and 13th position respectively.
