Rivers United are now breathing down the necks of Nigeria league leaders Enugu Rangers after they won their third straight game Wednesday by stopping Wikki Tourists 1-0 in Port Harcourt.

Rangers lost 2-1 at Sunshine Stars, also on Wednesday.

Both Rivers United and Rangers are now on 28 points and the same goals difference of +5, but the Port Harcourt club have scored fewer goals than Rangers.
