NPFL Review: Kwara United pip Sunshine Stars as Doma United score late to get a point at home against Rivers United

Kwara United earned a hard fought win over Sunshine Stars while Doma United needed a late goal to get a point in Gombe against Rivers United in the match day 19 fixtures played on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Kwara United defeated Sunshine Stars 1-0 courtesy of Emmanuel Ogbole's first half goal at the Kwara State Stadium Complex.

Ogbole scored in the 15th minute after tapping in Samuel Ayanrinde's pass from close range.

In Gombe, Doma United could not make their home advantage count as they had to comeback to get a point against 2022 champions Rivers United at the Pantami Stadium.

Yao Bernard had put Rivers United in the lead after Sadiq Abubakar's assist at the dead of half time.

But Abiama Nelson's acrobatic kick at the dead of second half stole a point for the hosts as the game ended 1-1.
