Ikenne based club, Remo Stars have confirmed they will appeal the sanctions imposed on them by the Nigeria Premier Football League Interim Management Committee after their match against Gombe, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Sky Blue Stars saw 3 points and 3 goals deducted from them and a fine of ?1.25million imposed on them over assault on match day official. The General Manager of the club will also face Prosecution in Court for his act in the game.
Only 45 minutes of action was played in the match day 12 encounter in Ikenne before the game was abandoned by the match officials.
The game was reportedly abandoned as a result of intimidation from the home fans who challenged the referee’s call on Dayo Ojo’s tackle which led to a red card in the 44th minute.
According to several sources, the assault continued in the dressing room after halftime and match officials then took the decision not to come out for second half.
