NPFL: Plateau United trounce Sunshine Stars as Heartland FC get rare win against Remo Stars

Plateau United was the biggest winner of the 8 matches played in the match day 9 fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League this weekend threashing Sunshine Stars, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Peace Boys scored 3 unreplied goals against the Akure Gunners at the New Jos Stadium to return to winning ways after their 3-1 loss to the Abia Warriors.

Meanwhile, Remo Stars continued their struggle away from home after falling to a 1-0 loss against struggling Heartland FC at the Dan Ayam Stadium, Owerri.

Peter Afolayan with a 71-minute strike sealed the win for the Naze Millionaires who go 16 with 9 points with the win.

Remo Stars remain second despite the loss with 18 points, 3 points adrift leaders, Rivers United.
