Lobi Stars returned to winning ways to help their relegation fight after beating Plateau United in the Nigeria Premier Football League while Shooting Stars Sports Club continued their fine run with a win over Kano Pillars, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Daniel Amokachi-led team defeated Plateau United 1-0 in the North Central derby, while Oluyole Warriors defeated Sai Masu Gida's side 2-0.

Waheed Adevayo scored at the stroke of halftime to give the Markurdi-based team the win at the Lafia City Stadium.

Joshua Akpan's 44th minute and Adam Mustapha Agba'a's 78th minute combined to give Gbenga Ogunbote Boys the win over Kano Pillars at the Lekan Salami Sport Complex.

The win takes Lobi Stars to 15th place while Shooting Stars Sports Club moves to 4th on the log.
