NPFL: Godwin Aguda Joins River United from Al-Washm

Rivers United have secured the signing of Nigerian forward Godwin Aguda from Saudi Arabia’s second division side Al-Washm.

Rivers United confirmed the signing of the 22-year-old forward for an undisclosed fee on Wednesday.

The former Rangers international of Enugu forward joined the Port Harcourt based club after making just eight appearances for Al-Washm and scoring once.

Aguda was the top scorer in the 2018/19 CAF Confederation Cup and also inspired Rangers to the Nigeria Professional Football League title and Aiteo Federation Cup in 2016 and 2018 respectively.

He has now joined the likes of Theophilus Afelokhai and Ifeanyi Anaemena at the Pride of Rivers ahead of the forthcoming 2020-2021 Nigeria professional football league season.
