Ahead of the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League (NFF) season, the compliance department of the NFF has visited the Elkanemi Stadium for inspection.
This was revealed by the club's media officer, Tahiru Bala who disclosed that a team of inspectors arrived Elkanemi Warriors Sports center Maiduguri on Friday to inspect the centre.
The compliance team was led by Bunu Umar accompanied by the officials of Elkanemi Warriors, the FA and stadium management inspector as they toured the facilities of the stadium.
Facilities in the Stadium, dressing room and those outside the stadium were inspected by the team.
The team was also at the club secretariat and club house which is one of the best in West Africa.
Speaking in an interview after the inspection, Bunu Umar praised the management of Elkanemi for the maintenance culture exhibited in the facilities inspected.
He said the transfer window will close at the end of the month and the league is expected to kick off soon, Elkanemi's media aide reported.
He sounded a warning against any act of violence against match officials, visiting teams and all stake holders. He call on the management of Elkanemi to embark on sensitization exercise on the dangers of encroachment and violence during matches which will never be condone.
There is no announced date for the new season, but there are indications of it commencement after the NFF elections at the end of September.
