The Promise Keepers currently sit at the bottom of the table with 16 points, and Abdullahi has described their poor performance this season as "strange."

"This is very strange, and the players will have to redouble their efforts to ensure we pick up the pieces and restore the club to its pride of place on the log," Abdullahi said.

The Uyo-based club is winless in their last three league games and faces a crucial match against Heartland on Monday.

Abdullahi's plea comes as the team seeks to turn their fortunes around and climb out of the relegation zone.
