Initially planned for Sunday, December 8, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, the match was shifted to accommodate another high-profile game at the venue.

The adjustment was necessitated by the CAF Confederation Cup fixture between Enyimba FC and Zamalek SC of Egypt, which will take place at the same stadium on Sunday, December 8.

This decision was outlined in a December 3, 2024 letter issued by Davidson Owumi, the NPFL's Chief Operating Officer (COO).

This rearrangement reflects the NPFL's commitment to maintaining an organized schedule while supporting Nigerian clubs competing on the continental stage. The Goodwill Akpabio International Stadium, a premier football venue, is set to host both matches, underscoring its status as a hub for domestic and international football events.
