Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia assistant coach Igwe Madubuike and club captain, Augustine Njoku are upbeat of them beating Rivers United on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The two sides lock horns in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium and the Warriors are seeking to take their pound of flesh after losing the first leg 2-1 in Porthacourt.
Abia Warriors assistant coach, Igwe Madubuike, is optimistic the Umuahia lads will emerge victorious at the end of the encounter.
His optimism was echoed by the team captain, Augustine Njoku, while speaking with the club's media.
"...we will give the fans nothing short of victory come Wednesday...", the former national U-20 wing back said.
The match comes up on Wednesday, 15th May 2024, at the Umuahia Township Stadium. Kickoff time is 4pm.
