Nottingham Forest’s Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi has been included in the official Premier League Team of the Week.
legendary England striker Alan Shearer made the team of the week selection and published on Premier League’s Twitter handle.
Awoniyi scored two goals in Nottingham Forest’s 4-3 win against Southampton in Monday’s league game.
The former Liverpool player put Forest ahead in the 18th before doubling the lead in the 21st minute.
He now has six goals in 24 appearances in the league for Forest this season.
Other notable players who also made the Team of the Week are Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan, Arsenal duo Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale and Fulham’s Willian.
