Not A Glamorous Return For Isaac Success As Udinese Falter At Home To Juventus In Serie A Opener

Nigeria duo of Isaac Success and Samuel John Nwachukwu were helpless as Udinese fluffed in Serie A opening game against Juventus at the Dacia Arena venue yesterday, a start that Coach Andrea Sottil isn't happy about.

With his last goal for the black and white Zebra side dating back to the 3-0 home win against already relegated Cremonese in April where he was substituted in the 39th minute just three minutes after scoring having suffered a muscle injury to the rectus femoris of the right thigh as revealed by the club, the former Watford forward then missed the rest of the 2022/23 campaign, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

Upon his return, the striker watched from the bench as Udinese conceded in the first two minutes of the encounter and as far as ways to start a season go, Udinese’s was down there amongst the worst, running out eventual losers with a lackluster performance at home to the Old Ladies who are out on a quest to regain their European status got off to the perfect start.

Although he did partook in the club's pre-season tour following his return from injury, he didn't feature in any match until yesterday where he was introduced in the latter stages of the match, making his first return to action since the unfortunate injury in April in the 0-3 loss to the Turin based outfit.

Defender John Nwachukwu who was an unused sub will be looking to get some minutes when Udinese travel to  Salernitana in their next outing with Success hoping to make his return with a goal and return the cub back to wining ways.
