NPFL newly promoted sides, Bayelsa United and Doma United settled for a stalemate in the first match of the NNL Super four tournament which started on Wednesday.
The two sides played 0-0 after ninety minute in an encounter filled with missed chances.
It was the home team who started on the ascendency as they came close to scoring in the 7th minute, but were repealed by a resolute Doma United defense.
They continued to mount pressure and came close to scoring at the dead of the first phase but were denied by the bar.
The first half ended that way as the home team went away feeling they should have scored, but Doma were happy going into the dressing room without conceding.
The second half started slightly different from the first as it Doma pushed for a goal this time, but the momentum was short lived.
Bayelsa stepped up the pedal to get a goal, but the narrative of being wasteful continued.
Despite their urgency to get that goal, it was to no avail as the match ended that way with both sides having nothing to choose at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenegoa.
