Nigeria National League chairman, Emmanuel Attah has disclosed the league board's intension to increase the coverage of the league, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Attah had addressed a press conference following the conclusion of the first stanza, stating plans to increase the number of matches that will be shown at the league's resumption through Global Sport.
“In the first stanza, we took matches live from Abuja and some other venues like Lagos and Enugu. In the second stanza more of our matches will come live and we intend to go to more venues.
We say a big thank you to our partners Global TV for sharing in our vision of putting the league on TV. For now, there is no money accruing to the league but our vision is to keep making the league more competitive and attractive to potential sponsors.”
The NNL Boss who proclaimed the league improvement in many areas called for supports from corporate bodies.
Everybody can see that the NNL this season is running very well. Clubs are winning on the road and virtually all matches have been played without any violence. Officiating has been good. Our appeal is that corporate Nigeria should back this laudable efforts,” Attah said.
The Nigeria National League is fixed for resumption first of March.
