Nigeria National League, side Edel FC coach, Ben Okaro has called it quit with the Anambra club on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com can report.
Following poor strings of result, Okaro has now left the club stating that he leaves for the interest of the club.
“I’ve told the GM (Olisa Onuchukwu) that I’m leaving”, Okaro told Exclusivenews.com.ng.
“I didn’t communicate with the club’s President because I believe the GM will do so”.
The club management have meanwhile accepted the resignation of the Ben Okaro on Monday.
“This was a very difficult decision for the hierarchy of the club to accept”, Onuchukwu said in a statement released by the club Monday afternoon.
“We have developed great working relationship with Ben since he took over as the Technical Adviser last year. Since he asked to step aside, we will honor his wish.
“On behalf of the club’s management, I wish him the best going forward.
“Hopefully, in future, our paths might meet again.”
Edel FC that are at the bottom of the Southern Conference group B4 after four matches with no win, two draws and two loses.
With a game against Ibom Youth on Saturday, the needs a coach to be at the helm of affairs as soon as possible to salvage their precarious situation.
