NNL: Draws for Super Eight to be held next week

The Nigeria National League has revealed that the Super Eight tournament to determine the league winner will be held next week, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

This was revealed by the league board chairman, Mr. Gbenga Aluo, following the conclusion of the regular season.

Mr Aluo, who was present at the last game of the season, expressed happiness over the conduct of the league, commending players and officials for their conduct.

He stated that though the league may not be where the management expects it to be, but stated that it has improved with teams winning away from home.

Aluo said the venue and exact date of the Super 8 play-off would be announced next week by the league board, even as noted, the eight qualified teams would be given a cool-off period.

“Agreed, clubs in Conferences C and D finished some weeks back, those in A and B would be given a very short time to rest before getting back to action in the Super 8. By next week, we will be announcing the exact date and venue for the play-off,” Aluo stated.

Osun United, Crown FC, Kun Khalifa FC, Warri Wolves, Barau FC, Doma FC, Yobe Desert Star,s and Wikki Tourists have all qualified for the Super 8 Play-off to determine the 4 teams that will be promoted to the Premier League.
