Osun Utd are back to Nigeria's second tiers league, Nigeria National League, NNL following a resounding victory over 3SC Team B in one of the NLO play-off matches played at Remo Stars Stadium lkenne, Ogun state.

Having secured the much needed win over Adanimogo FC in the first play-off decided at Lekan Salami Stadium lbadan, Omoluabi Giants set up a mother of all clash against ambitious 3SC Team B.

Seye Ajayi rings no change to starters against Adanimogo as 'red hot' point man Gabriel Godspower lead the attack once more. Believe And Achieve side dominated the proceedings albeit in a brilliant fashion, creating chances upon chances, Ogunleye Olayemi being the culprit of a glorious one agonisingly miscued towards the end of first stanza. With one minute left on the clock, Gabriel Godspower once more broke the deadlock with a cool finish just before the area, as United maintain a slim margin into the break.

The second half is characterized with silky and precise passes as United didn't relent in dictating the pace. Seven minutes past hour mark, Sodiq Babatunde increased the tally off an assist from Raheem Qazeem. The opponents had their fair share of brilliant moments but Semiu Bello masterclass alertness saves the moments. Substitute, Solomon Ilesanmi puts the icing on the cake with a solo delivery ten minutes from time.

The defensive pairing of Afolabi Olatunbosun and Abubakar Goringo show composure and discipline in curtailing every threats as full time whistle ensures the return of Omoluabi Giants back to Nigeria National League.

The management committee immediately after the victorious encounter heaped praises on team financiers and main actors for the job well executed. "Permit me to appreciate our financier, the Executive Governor of the state H.E Sen. Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for supporting us in picking the promotion slot. This is a testament to the fact that sports has started enjoying new lease of life under the current administration.

"Despite our shortcomings, they tolerated us in meeting the yearnings of the sporting populace. Worthy to mention is the Secretary to state government, Alh. Teslim Igbalaye who is never tired of listening to us. We appreciate Osun State Football Associations, our supporters, fans and those who worked underground for the success of the team, a huge thanks to you all. We shall savour the moments and start preparing for the life in NNL. in earnest." Mr Rotimi Dunmoye the head of management committee who couldn't hide his excitements stated.
