NLO: Zaki Mairiga FC sanctioned, players suspended indefinitely

The Nationwide League One has sanctioned Zaki Mairiga FC and their players for the inappropriate behaviour exhibited during their match against Gombe Warriors FC Gombe, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Zaki Mairiga FC players and officials were reported to have assaulted match officials, leading to injuries and missing of items.

According to the report by the match officials, the following players "George Jude Jersey No. 36, Bello Muhammad Tongaje Jersey No.10, Philip Luka Jersey No.6, Biplang Sunday Jersey No.14, Andrew Kunni Jersey No.15 Abdulmalik Abubakar Jersey No.7, Umar Ahmed Jersey No.19, Ablkarim Alhassan Jersey No.9, Bilyaminu Abdullahi Jersey No.8, and Mr. Danlami Shuibu Team Secretary of Zaki Mairiga FC assaulted the center referee during the match causing disruption and injury to the referee"

Consequently, the NLO made the following decisions based on rules and regulations articles 4:07 and 4:13

- A fine of 100,000 thousand to the club payable within seven days and 3 points and 3 goals awarded to Gombe Warriors.

- Zaki Mairiga FC is hereby fined the sum of One Hundred and Nineteen Thousand One Fifty  Naira Only (N119,150.00) being claims filed by the referees for both treatments and missing items.

- The above-listed players and Officials of Zaki Mairiga Football Club Gombe are hereby suspended indefinitely from all NLO football-related activities, their appearance in any Zaki Mairiga FC football match shall be met with serious sanction.

The NLO further stated that the decision will be forwarded to the Nigeria Football Federation for Nationwide Ban on Football activities.

It urged to club who have the right to appeal to desist from any act that will bring the game to disrupt.
