Sporting Lagos Football Academy kicked started their Nationwide League One season on a winning note after beating 10-men City Sports FC in Lagos on Thursday, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

The young Tech Boys beat the City Boys 4-2 at the Maracana Stadium, Lagos, to head out to a flying start.

Yusuf Abdullahi restored the visitors' goal lead with a close-range finish, Linus Zika's assist 7 minutes after the one-hour mark.

In the 73rd minute, City Sports pulled one back through George Christian with a sublime goal, presenting a delicately poised encounter towards the end.

However, things turned bad for the home side 3 minutes later as they went one man down, giving Appetite numerical advantage

With six minutes left to regulation time, substitute Fuhad Ojediran buried it in the bottom corner, off a swift counter to make it 2-4, putting the game beyond City Sports at the final whistle.
