Nigerian striker tests positive for coronavirus in Norway

Striker Victor Boniface has tested positive for Covid-19, according to his Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt.

This followed a test by the Norwegian champions yesterday ahead of full team training on Tuesday.

Officials said he may have been infected during a recent visit to Oslo.

Bodo/Glimt said in a statement that Boniface has since entered solitary confinement, while 18 other people who were part of the testing by the team have also been quarantined.

The former Flying Eagles striker, 20, scored six goals in 24 appearances as Bodo/Glimt were crowned champions of Norway for the first time in their history last year.
