Nigerian billionaire Dozy Mmobuosi set to take over Sheffield United

Nigerian billionaire, Dozy Mmobuosi is close to completing the takeover of English club, Sheffield United in a £7m deal, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

Mmobuosi, a Nigerian technology entrepreneur is going for the purchase through his company, Tingo which is reported to be worth over £7 billion.

Current owner HRH Prince Abdullah bin Musa'ad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is rumoured to be struggling to maintain the club as a result of financial crisis that includes a default on payments due to Liverpool.

According to the Times, Mmobuosi will be subject to the EFL’s Owners’ and Directors’ Test, but so far no problems have arisen.

United sit twelfth point better than Middleborough in the English Championship and a sale of the club at this time has become paramount.

He is the sponsor of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL Super 4 Pre season tournament where the winner of the tournament, Shooting Stars received one hundred million naira.
