As the transfer window deadline edges closer, clubs and players are in a hurry to complete their business. Nigerian players are not left out of the mix, as many of them are being linked with numerous clubs around Europe and the world.
One of them is Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka who is attracting interest from Championship side Middlesbrough ahead of the transfer deadline on Thursday, September 1, according to Sky Sports reporter Lyall Thomas,
Onyeka is with Premier League club, Brentford, but this season has played just 10 minutes of football in the Premier League.
Onyeka's only appearance this season in the Premier League thus far was in the shock 4-0 win of Brentford over Manchester United at the Gtech Community Stadium on August 13.
The Nigerian however played for 52 minutes last week Tuesday in the League Cup as his team defeated Colchester United 2-0. He was booked in the 32nd minute of the game.
Sky Sports' Thomas scooped on Monday that Boro are in talks with Brentford over a loan deal for Onyeka

Brentford secured the services of the seven-cap Nigerian international from Danish outfit FC Midtjylland last summer.
Last season Onyeka played 20 league matches for the Bees, was in action for 1,048 minutes and was yellow-carded four times.
Former Super Eagles striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who proved to be one of the best African exports to the Premier League, played for Middlesbrough.
