“Nice to see Alex come in and get his first minutes.” Marco Silva rejoices over Iwobi’s return

Fulham coach, Marco Silva was excited to have back one of his new recruits Alex Iwobi play some minutes in the game against Luton Town on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Both Silva and Iwobi worked together at Everton before the former brought the Nigerian forward to Vicarage Road at the just concluded summer transfers.

Iwobi joined the Cottagers injured but finally trained with the rest of the team after the international break before making his debut on Saturday.

The former Arsenal replaced Harrison Reed two minutes after the hour mark making and impressive appearance before hitting the framework.

Silva backed Iwobi to become an important member of his squad.

“Nice to see Alex come in and get his first minutes. They are going to improve for sure, the way we play is going to make them better players for sure. We’re really happy to have them,” Silva told the club’s official website.
