Ahead of the big Serie A battle between league leaders SSC Napoli and former champions Inter Milan tomorrow, Ex-AS Roma midfielder, Radja Nianggolan drew some comparisons in his recent interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
Nianggolan who played under Luciano Spalletti in the Capitale before joining the Italian manager again at the San Siro claimed the long World Cup break could hurt Napoli more.
“I think it can only hurt Napoli because they were the team that had found the best game balance. Finding them again may be natural, but there is also the risk that it will not be like that.” Nianggolan said via Fcinternews.
The Belgian International in the interview then insinuated that Napoli and Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen is better than his compatriot, Romelu Lukaku.
“On paper, they have a stronger team but then Napoli play much better on the pitch, who have great lightness and manage everything.
“And those 11 points weigh heavily. Who would have thought that Osimhen had done better of Lukaku?" Nianggolan concluded.
Osimhen 24, is the top scorer in the Italian Serie A so far with nine goals and has been in unstoppable form in year 2022 despite injury setback.
His imperious form has see top clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle show their interest.
