Nigeria's U17 team started the 2023 African Cup Of Nations Tournament strongly after a narrow 1-0 win against Zambia. The Golden Eaglets dominated the game, but Favour Daniel's second-half strike was enough to make the difference for Coach Ugbade's team.
However, many fans are talking about the brilliance of the teenagers and how they were able to dominate the game. On the other hand, note that Golden Eaglets' defender Yahaya Lawali won the Man of the Match award against Zambia.
After an impressive display against Zambia, the 16-year-old right-back rightfully won the award. During the game, he occupied very good attacking positions and had a lot of joy against Zambia's Joseph Liteta.
Even though he was caught out of position on a few occasions,Yahaya Lawali's attacking play won him the Man of the Match award, but most importantly, Nigeria won its opening game.
