Western Sydney could give new signings Radoslaw Majewski and Dylan McGowan their debuts when they face Leeds United in next week's friendly at Bankwest Stadium.
Majewski, who signed on a one-year deal a month ago, only began training late in the week with his new team.
But he feels his conditioning will allow him to play against Marcelo Bielsa's team.
The 32-year-old former Poland international says he spoke to fellow countryman Adrian Mierzejewski, who was the A-League's player of the year in 2017-18, before agreeing to move.
"I spoke about it with Adrian, you know about the league and how he did but it is actually very good," he said. "People will compare us if they want, they probably try to compare me to him, you know, with what he did for Sydney FC."
Majewski, who played more than 150 games for Nottingham Forest during a six-year stint in England, revealed Wanderers tried to sign him at the start of this year.
"An agent was in touch in January but I didn't take this serious until March, probably when it was more serious," he said. "In May, everything comes up quickly about the contract, about this opportunity."
McGowan joined Wanderers just days before his older brother Ryan moved to Sydney FC on a two-year contract.
The former Adelaide United player, who made one appearance for the Socceroos, said: "My season didn't finish until the first week of June so I was a lot longer than the boys here because they obviously missed finals and I got a little bit longer on the other side. I've kept myself in good enough shape that when Leeds come, I'll be ready for whatever the manager decides."
Western Sydney are 12/1 to win the Grand Final.
