Neto emerges as Juventus option after Botafogo move breaks down

Juventus are considering a return for former goalkeeper Neto as they seek cover for Guglielmo Vicario.

The Turin club’s goalkeeping situation has become increasingly difficult, with Vicario currently lacking an experienced deputy. Neto, who previously played for Juventus, has emerged as a possible solution.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the prospect of the Brazilian goalkeeper returning to the club is becoming more likely. Neto’s spell with Botafogo has not worked out, and he would welcome the opportunity to return to the Italian league.

The two sides now need to reach an agreement over the size of his salary, the report adds.

Luciano Spalletti’s side currently sit seventh in the Serie A table.
