Nigeria's midfield sensation, Wilfred Ndidi continued his goal scoring form as he scored in Leicester City's big win over Joe Aribo's Southampton in the English Championship on Friday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles midfielder scored the third goal for the Foxes as they defeated the Saints at the St Mary's in the  Matchday 6 encounter.

It was Jamie Vardy who hit the ground running for Leicester as he scored 20 seconds into the match.

McAteer Kassy doubled the lead in the 18th minute as Samuel Edozie reduced the deficit seven minutes later to make it 1-2.

Ndidi made sure the Foxes go into the dressing room with a two-goal cushion at the end of the first 45 minute with a brilliant finish at additional time.

Mavididi with a smart turn threaded it through to Ndidi, who beat his marker and bundled his close-range finish past Bazunu.

Ndidi left the pitch for Casadei 13 minutes into the second half as Stephy Mavididi who assisted City's first and third goal scored the fourth goal in the 67th minute to put the game beyond Southampton.

The hosts were reduced to 10 at the dead of the second half after Kamaldeen Sulemana was sent off.

Meanwhile, Ndidi's compatriot, Iheanacho came in for the last 14 minutes while Joe Aribo played the last 12 for Southampton.

Ndidi now has 3 goals and 2 assists in all competitions this season under new manager Enzo Maresca.
