Ndidi Makes 16th Start In Leicester’s Loss; Iheanacho, Success Play As Sub

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi made his 16th Premier League start for Leicester City who lost 1-0 away to Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Luka Milivojevic’s long range strike in the 32nd minute of the encounter earned Crystal Palace their second home with of the season.

Ndidi featured for the entire duration of the defeat while his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho came on for Demarai Gray in the 73rd minute of the encounter.

At the Vicarage Road, Isaac Success was subbed on for Ken Sema as Watford returned to winning ways with a 3-2 home win over Cardiff City.

Goals from Gérard Deulofeu, Jose Holebas and Quina gave Watford a 3-0 lead but strikes from Junior Hoilett and Bobby Reid reduced the deficit.

Solomon Rondon was the match winner for Newcastle who defeated Huddersfield Town 1-0.

At the Molineux stadium, Wolverhampton Wanderers beat Bournemouth 2-0.

An easy tap in from Raul Jimenez in the 12th minute gave Wolves the lead before Iva Cavalerio’s stoppage time goal secured the win.

The win was Wolves’ thrid straight win in the topflight division for the first time since 1980 while the defeat was the sixth in seven games for Bournemouth.

At the Wembley stadium, Christen Eriksen scored a stoppage-time goal to hand Tottenham Hotspur a 1-0 home win over Burnley. It was Eriksen’s first goal of the season in the EPL.

The win was the 100th for Mauricio Pochettino.
