Nigerian striker Simeon Nwankwo has emerged as Goal King in the Portuguese second division with 20 goals.

Nwankwo signed off this season with a goal in Gil Vicente's 3-2 home loss to Farense on Saturday.

The 24-year-old striker scored nine goals last season for the team in the top flight.

His compatriot, Chris Irobiso, netted a brace for Farense to win.

Another Nigerian striker Stanley Awurum from Carson scored 14 goals to finish as the third leading scorer in the second-tier league.
