Nasarawa Amazons head coach, Chris Danjuma, has expressed his team’s determination to halt Remo Stars Ladies’ unbeaten streak when both sides clash in their upcoming Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) matchday six encounters.

Remo Stars Ladies, making their debut appearance in the NWFL, have enjoyed an impressive start to the season, winning five of their first six matches and remaining undefeated under head coach Wemimo Matthew.

A Tough Test for Nasarawa Amazons

Danjuma’s side will face the Sky Blue Stars at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday, and the coach acknowledges the challenge ahead while emphasizing the need for improvement.

"In our away matches, we have been conceding too many goals, which isn’t good for us," Danjuma told the club’s media.

The coach stressed the importance of strengthening his team’s mentality, defensive focus, and tactical discipline to handle difficult match situations.

"We want to keep working on our mentality, level of concentration, and the technical ability of the players to be able to adjust to whatever conditions they find themselves in."

Danjuma further declared that avoiding defeat against Remo Stars Ladies is a top priority for his team.

"The greatest task ahead of us is to make sure we don’t lose against Remo Stars Ladies."
