“My players were warriors” Remo Stars’ Ogunmodede speaks with joy

Remo Stars manager, Daniel Ogunmodede commends his men for a resolute performance in their 2-2 draw against Enyimba at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League Super Six Playoff, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Adiele Eriugo and Chukwuemeka Obioma were on target for Enyimba in the game.

But the Sky Blue Stars got came form behind on twice, with goals from Junior Lokosa and Junior Nduka.

Ogunmodede called his players warriors after they came from behind to secure a point against the eight-time NPL champions.

“My players were warriors. We know we played against the best club in the country by record, by achievement by what they have done in football in the country,” he stated in a post-match interview.

“But we knew what to do to match them with our tactical process, we took the fight to them, we gave them a lot of respect but not fear.

“It’s not the appropriate result we wanted because we came for the three points but it’s good that they did not take all the three points from us.”
