CAF on Friday evening announced the Africa’s most prestigious football tournament to be coming up on December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

With FIFA increasing the number of teams for the Club World Cup and the schedule likely to clash with the 2025 AFCON in Morocco, CAF have now taken the decision to shift the tournament forward.

The draw for the biennial competition is scheduled for next month in Johannesburg, South Africa, with qualifying matches set to take place from September to October 2024.
