Mohammed Polo launches latest charge at Hearts, says current crop will have serious questions to answer if club is relegated
Mohammed Polo has warned the current players and management members of Hearts of Oak will have serious questions to answer if the club is demoted from the Ghanaian top flight.
The Phobians are facing a real scare of getting relegated from the First Capital Plus League following their recent defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko.
Hearts are now second from bottom and must pick up vital points from their remaining five matches to ensure safety.
Former Hearts of Oak player and coach Mohammed Polo is charging the current side to do all it takes to escape the drop to avoid problems at the end of the season.
“They have to survive, if they don’t survive then they’ll have questions to answer,” he said.
“The players have to know that this is not a club for relegation so they really have to survive.”
Polo’s time as coach of Hearts of Oak was considered the worst period in the club’s history until now.
He was replaced in the off-season by a more experienced Herbert Addo who less than a year into his appointment had to depart the club after a string of poor results.
