As reported by Mediotiempo.com Miguel Herrera's announcement as the new Tigres manager is only a matter of hours. According to some sources close to the club, El Piojo is going to officially become the new manager in El Volcan this Tuesday, when Tigres' top brass will present him to the public in a press conference.

Herrera already has experience managing in Nuevo Leon, having been at Monterrey, Tigres' bitter rival, for three tournaments in 2004-2005. Most recently, he coached Club America in his second stint with the club, winning the Apertura 2018 by beating rivals Cruz Azul in the final. He has also won another title with America, in the Apertura 2013, during his first tenure with the club. He was Mexico's manager at the 2014 World Cup, and won the 2015 Gold Cup with El Tri.
